1st Lt Oscar Chacon is a Portfolio Product Manager at Section 31, the Space Force’s first digital transformation project to modernize the $800M Joint Space Operations Center Mission System. He is responsible for 5 product teams focused on improving space command and control capabilities supporting global operations. Prior to joining Section 31, Lt Chacon was a Program Manager at LA Air Force Base where he experienced firsthand the pains of slow software delivery to operators. Now, in less than 2 years, Section 31 has deployed 5 applications into the hands of over 2000 operators and is leading the vision to create a digital Space Force where extraordinary software propels space dominance.
