Gareth spent his early career writing Spring apps for an investment bank. After experimenting with PaaS technologies for a while he quickly came to the conclusion that platforms are the way forward, and so jumped into the world of Cloud Foundry back in 2015. Since then he’s worked on data services and container filesystems at Pivotal, before coming back to his Java roots and joining the Spring Cloud Services team, where all of his favourite technologies converge. Now at VMware, when he’s not busy with Spring, Cloud Foundry or Bosh, he’s probably out mountain biking somewhere.
