Building Autonomous Operations for Pivotal Platform with Keptn

Organizations migrate to Pivotal Platform to enable their development teams to rapidly deliver applications. One of the last hurdles to truly rapid application delivery is the growing landscape of complex and incomplete pipelines that lack full automation.
In this workshop, attendees will learn how to automate more work to spend more time innovating with pipelines based on concepts from Keptn, an open-source framework for continuous delivery. These pipelines will have the following features:

  • Quality gates validated via metrics provided by pitometer
  • Specifications defined in source control (monitoring-as-code)
  • Zero-touch toolchain integration
  • Workflows based on GitOps
  • Automated AI-based problem remediation (operations-as-code)
  • Running natively on Kubernetes with Pivotal Container Service (PKS)

Keptn delivers these features with a pluggable, serverless event-based approach helping users transition from continuous delivery to continuous operations automatically taking artifacts from Continuous Integration systems (like Concourse) on the path to production.
