Niki Allen

Director of the Office of the CIO and Chief of Staff

Shaunnika (Niki) Allen is Director of the Office of the CIO and Chief of Staff to Ted Colbert, the Boeing Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Information and Analytics. In this role, Niki leads the Office of the CIO for the Information Technology organization which includes over 6,500 IT and analytics employees of the world’s largest aerospace company.

Niki is responsible for strategy alignment and execution, driving digital transformation, operational excellence, program, process and procedure management, strategic sourcing, external technical affiliations and key project leadership. These key projects represent enterprise Initiatives related to Cyber Security, Information Management, Analytics, and Second Century Enterprise Systems. Since inception of the role in January 2015, she has dramatically improved the operational effectiveness of the IT organization and helped shape multi-billion dollar projects aimed at transforming technology in Boeing.

Previously, Niki Allen was Director of the Boeing Cyber Engagement Center in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. In this role she was responsible for product development, sales and marketing of Boeing Cyber Security Solutions.

Niki began her career at Boeing as a summer intern in 2001. Since then she has worked several focus programs in various roles, including F/A-18 Structural and Avionic Program Management, Secure Border Initiative Program Management, Electronic and Information Solutions Global Strategy Operations, and Secure Mobile Business Development. Her portfolio of program experience represents multiple customer segments to include the United States Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, United States Intelligence Agencies, and Foreign Military Defence across air, space, land, sea, and cyber domains.

As a servant leader, Niki is the Boeing IT Executive focal for Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she continues to strengthen and enhance the partnership that has been established for over 20 years. She is also a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion and participates in several external technical organizations. Her focus on STEM and community outreach consists of partnership and support for organizations such as YearUp, Black Engineer of the Year, National Society of Black Engineers, Grace Hopper and Women of Color. She was recently recognized by Women of Color as a New Media Leader of the Year in October 2015.
